This was a one day deployment.  Vicky shared her thoughts with us: Corporal Stephen Ballard's memorial service was the first memorial I have attended since joining the Suffolk County Police Department. It made me realize no matter what your badge says, the men and women in blue are all one. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet different law enforcement officers across the country and learn more about what the job means to them. This was not only a great experience, but it reinforced my belief that my decision to join law enforcement was the right one for me.
